Our Involvement
The non-profit organizations in our area work every day to make a difference in our own community, and we are proud to support these efforts by sponsoring their marketing programs. We work on an on-going basis with The Matthew Shepard Foundation, Respite Care, and SAVA.
The Matthew Shepard Foundation was founded by Dennis and Judy Shepard in memory of their 21-year old son, Matthew, who was murdered in an anti-gay hate crime in Wyoming in October 1998. The Foundation seeks to “Replace Hate with Understanding, Compassion, & Acceptance” through its varied educational, outreach, and advocacy programs and by continuing to tell Matthew’s story.
Lightsource supports the Foundation as a National Marketing Sponsor for the annual Bear to Make a Difference Gala and Celebrity Teddy Bear Auction. Our team develops event promotions including invitations, web banners, video presentations, and the event program.

Respite Care is a nonprofit organization that provides short-term care for children with developmental disabilities, giving respite to parents and enhancing the quality of life for the entire family.
We have been Respite’s marketing sponsor since our inception. From revamping the website to designing print collateral to creating promotional materials for their fundraising events, Lightsource is proud to support such a worthwhile organization. For each of Respite’s two major fundraisers, the Annual Holiday Ball and the Perennial Lunch, our team develops an original theme and creates all of the event collateral, including ads, web banners, invitations, flyers, and posters.

SAVA (Sexual Assault Victims Advocate Center) serves the Northern Colorado area by providing support to victims of sexual assault. They provide direct services, including therapy to victims impacted by sexual violence. Victims of sexual assault receive a safe place to receive service that is accessible and inclusive, regardless of gender, race, income, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic.
We have been partnering with SAVA since 2015. Our partnership includes promoting their annual fundrasing event, SAVA Soiree. Our team creates event promotions and deliverables to help support their annual event.

Boonsource
The definition of “boon” (n) is something to be thankful for, a blessing, a benefit. At Lightsource, we appreciate the efforts of non-profits who want to make our community a better place, and we like to assist those initiatives where we can. Boonsource is a marketing assistance program that provides pro-bono services to our community non-profit organizations.
Throughout the year, Lightsource reviews Boonsource applications for specific project needs or services. Boonsource services are provided pro-bono and based on a full understanding of the project scope and plan.
